With my Papa and Mama

We had our Mama and Papa (our grandparents) staying with us. I will tell you about our time with them.
We had picnic hotdogs by Lake Victoria! There were lots of rice fields around us!
There is a bakery in Mwanza and there are lots of treats. Mama and Papa bought us some! I chose a donut the first time and a chocolate swiss roll the second time. We all got croissants for breakfast on Sunday.
Bakery Treats!
Knitting
With Mama I have leant how to knit. I have been making a scarf for my baby doll. I have been doing it the whole time they were here. It is really long now!

Swimming
We went swimming with Mama and Papa at Isamilo Hotel. It had a shallow end, but I still couldn't stand up! The school we are going to go to after Easter has a swimming pool so I will be able to learn to swim there. There is also a swimming pool on the very top of a bank here. It is very high up!

Solar System
With Mama and Papa we made a model of the solar system. We are learning about space. When you put the model in the sun, the planets all go around the sun. Some go faster than others. It is solar powered.

  1. How fun to have your Mama and Papa for a visit! Looks like you had a great time. Maria is also knitting a scarf for her doll, Charlotte. And the girls are also learning about space! What a fun model! I love that it's solar powered.
    Love Maria and Esther.

  3. Inspirational blog about uprooting to a different part of the world. Mamma and Pappa should be very proud of the two of you. We have recently moved to Europe, and one of the most important things that concerned us was the standard of education. It’s nice to know that there are some outstanding private English schools on all continents that will give a first class education.
